My absence

Okay, so I know by now at least a few people have been wondering about my whereabouts. Well, first, let me say that this is actually NOT a sign that I'm back. After getting my PC up and running with the new video card, suddenly I stopped getting a video signal. After testing everything, it was determined that the faulty part is actually my motherboard. However, because the components I have are older, replacing just the board is practically impossible. This leaves me without a functional computer at all... means no internet, no way to write and no way to do any art work at ALL and frankly, that part is driving me up a freaking wall.

So, until I figure out how this is going to be resolved, I'm offline for the most part. I can (like right now) occasionally use my mom's computer to hop on and check a few things but I can't do that very often.

Before I take off, something that some might actually want to know about... I finally got a date before an ALJ - so, wish me luck for June 15th.

I've been a writer for the vast majority of my life. At age eleven I wrote a short story about a dragon, and my mom and my aunt were floored that I'd used the phrase "murderous hatred" to describe the look in the dragon's eyes. Getting that reaction fueled me to keep writing. As I got older however, I started to long for ways to give my characters a visual presence, even if only to help me better connect with them. As I cannot draw, this started with finding images from various places, but using another's work (like anime and such) was not satisfying, and didn't help fully. Then, I found 3D art. It took me years to grasp and be able to make anything that resembled a completed image and I'm still learning of course but I feel that finally I can put faces on some of my characters.
